Che-re-wetts
I'm back in my hometown for Aidiladha, and after that for a week long semi-backpacking trip with my siblings. We have got most of the important things sorted out. However, I might have scrimped on our meal budget when I did the costing for the trip (yes, I have a spreadsheet for every trip that I go to…but never print and bring it to the actual trip)….so, now we have to survive on USD8/day….for each person…my friend said it's do-able at the risk of getting stomach discomfort…aishh, pandai-pandaila nanti….kalau tak, makan belalang jela.
Last nite, kitorang semua tido lambat…I brought Mr Wii back home and everyone had a great time playing with it. Then, berborak-borak sambil tengok my sis packing….sempat jugak dia tunjuk baju-baju that she prepared for majlis khatam quran, for makan nasi temuan…yada yada. Dan sempat jugak ntah macam mana ntah, my mum told me I'm being cerewet when it comes to guys. I just told her that it is my right to be cerewet and I will eventually find my guy. I know she meant well and just want my happiness, but happiness can be found in more ways than one. So far, memang ingin dicintai tapi belum sedang ingin bercinta. Ada orang nak tapi myself tak nak pun tak jalan jugak kan? Vice versa. Doa-doa jelah ek supaya hati ini terbuka and for the right guy to come along. Hehehehehe…
On another note, nothing special about raya haji in Kuching, apart from the takbir and prayers at the mosque, and the ibadah kurban of course. As it is in most part of Sarawak. Kalau di Miri, geng-geng perantau akan buat open house….so memang makan until pecah perut. Anyway, I'm happy to be home and meet my family. Maybe we'll go and catch "New Moon" at MBO. It's THE place to go for movies in Kuching now. I'm not comparing it to the poor cinema yang ntahapehapentah dan ada tikus di you-know-where….but it's really in top quartile compared to the big cinemas that you have in big cities. Hopefully they'll maintain it.
That's all I have for now…Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha kawan-kawan.

alkisah streamyx

If I’m friendly and chatty with you, it really means we’re just friends
If I LIKE a person:
- I will keep it quiet.
- I will tell my close friends instead, coz I need to share/vent it.
- It can be a secret as long as I can keep it…months, years, depends.
- I will only hope for chance meeting, but will not make actual attempt to meet him, in fact, I might run away coz I want to avoid blushing in front of him (my face easily gets red).
- If I found something that I really like, I will let my friends who I think have the same interest know about it and share the excitement…. while wondering whether the person that I like fancy the same thing too…
- With friends, I feel happy when we hang out and look forward for the next get-together session….with the person that I like, I’m happy just to know that he’s happy…
- I’m polite (so I thought la) and I don’t speak like a gangster in front of the person I like.
- If I actually tell that person I like him, it will mean that I like him so much that it burdens me to keep the feeling inside. Usually this will mean that I don’t care whatever will happen as long as I get it out of my head and be done with it.
- The longest I’ve hold a crush on somebody is 8 years during high school all the way until graduation….by the time that person found out that he likes me, I don’t feel the same way anymore. That’s when I told him about the crush I had. My bad.
No propa-propa. Me no like it.

Jangan cemarkan...
This morning, I woke up with this song in my head. A song that took me back to the year 1993.
Oh sungguh tenang dan damai sungaiku,
Alam indah menawan sekali,
Dan kesucianmu sumber hidupku,
Warisan alam yang tiada tandingannya
Mengalir damai dan tenang,
Dari kampung hingga ke seberang,
Dari hulu jauh ke muara,
Tumpuan kehidupan bangsaku
Jangan cemarkan Sungai Sarawak,
Jangan cemarkan,
Warisan yang tiada tandingannya..
I was singing it while I was doing my morning business, while I was brushing my teeth and I’m still singing it now…The song is written by Mr Kamil Salim and his wife, and our little group from our school was asked to sing it. Madam Allizah made us practice all the cute moves. We sang it 2 times, once in Pengkalan Sapi (yang dulunya cantik) and once in the Kuching Waterfront amphitheatre, for opening and closing ceremonies of “Cintailah Sungai Kita” campaign. I remembered me and my friends’ faces (5 or 6 of us) were in the front page of Utusan Sarawak….but of coursela, my family didn’t keep the newspaper cutting, we’re not sentimental enough to do that…hope my other friends did.
Those were the times when we thought they’re going to clean Sungai Sarawak, provide proper sewage system and good life for people living beside the river….but of course la, few years after, he-who-thinks-he-own-Sarawak turned it into a bottled water business….and people who live beside the river are facing possibilities that they might be relocated to a land far, far away to give way for impressive buildings to emerge, not to mention the flash floods that seem to occur more frequently and severe every time the rainy season comes….the floods that beat even the Great Kuching Flood 60++ years ago….huh!
Oooopsss, I’ve said too much.

love does not happen to everyone, but friendship does
kawan-kawan
kita sama-sama budak hingusan
kita sama-sama budak hingusan
saat aku mula kenal kalian
kawan-kawan
kita sama-sama tidur makan
kongsi mandi dan jamban
kawan-kawan
dulu kita sama-sama kena marah kan
dan di kelas kita mengutuk ketakpuasan
kawan-kawan
kita ini ibarat kugiran
bersama kita memusikkan
lagu kebahagiaan
kawan-kawan
saat malam perpisahan
kita janji untuk tidak akan
melupakan persahabatan
kawan-kawan
sejauh mana kita berjalan
setinggi mana langit digenggam
kita tetap kawan
kawan-kawan
aku sayang kalian

Xun - apa tu?
My friend TC just got back from a holiday trip in China. He told me he bought me an ashtray (what the ****).....
This is how the ashtray looks like....he got a good laugh for about 5 minutes when I was figuring out how the hell am I supposed to put this ashtray into good use and wondering why this ashtray comes with an instruction sheet which is written in Chinese writings...
The xun (simplified: 埙; traditional: 塤; pinyin: xūn) is a Chinese vessel flute made of clay or ceramic, similar to an ocarina but without a fipple. It is one of the oldest Chinese instruments. The xun is made in several sizes and is in the shape of an egg. It has a blowing hole on top and generally eight smaller finger holes (three each for the index, middle, and ring fingers of each hand, and one for each thumb).
The Korean equivalent is the hun (hangul: 훈; hanja: 塤). In Japan, the same type of instrument is called tsuchibue (hiragana: つちぶえ ; kanji: 土笛, lit. "earthen flute").
A similar looking Chinese instrument, called the Wudu, has a fipple and is the Chinese equivalent of the ocarina.
It sounds like a flute. I managed to play the lower notes, but still need to find the way to reach higher notes...need to find my flutist friend for some pointers....and since it's made of black pottery, after I'm done with my 'practice', my fingers, lips and mouth turn black as well.
ewwww
P/S: was trying to blog about my high school reunion weekend, but no words can describe the excitement that I felt....huhu

Actually this egg shaped black pottery is called Xun, an ancient Chinese musical instrument which is almost 5000 years old. TC thinks that I should better spend my time learning how to play this instrument rather than spend money to buy an accordion (if you've read my previous entries, you would learn about the acordion story). So practical of TC to get me this, just because I'm the one who blow into things....I'm a trombone player la...I don't blow into things...
These are the info I found about Xun from Wikipedia:

I'm not a genius
don't expect me to know everything
I'm not that hardworking

I only have 2 hands and 1 point of focus
can't do and think of everything all at once
I'm not a freaking database
do your own research
I need to look good on Saturday
so please let me be stress-free

P/S: tak kira suami isteri kena pandai-pandaila jaga diri ok....tak berani komen banyak-banyak, takde experience

excited itu teruja
First weekend in Miri setelah sekian lama went really well...
- went out with friends on Friday nite and discovered that Pizza Hut ada pizza yg sangat sedap
- pegi breakfast kat SM setelah few months teringin nak makan kat sana but always bangun lambat atau takde teman (kali ni tekad drive sorang-sorang menempuh hujan ribut...thanks Encik F sebab sanggup berhujan untuk datang)
- catch up with my ex-housemate dan baby yang sangat adorable
- roaming aimlessly with Miss E - a thing that we haven't done for quite a while
- finish one whole book (which is not compilation of short stories/facts/anecdotes) - gonna write the book review later
- watched a DVD that I bought a few months ago
- get a much needed facial supaya muka saya berseri-seri sikit time reunion nanti
- hunting for the reunion dress for the whole day (we don't have the luxury of having a lot of choices in Miri) - thanks to Nono and Nuna for the support and critiques...I must have tried almost 20 different dresses and parade it in front of them...dah lama tak keluar window shopping sampai sakit kaki, kan?
so.......since I've bought the dress, these are the few things that still need to be crossed out:
9. kastenet ;P

so.......since I've bought the dress, these are the few things that still need to be crossed out:
1. knee-length boots sebab betis bunting nagaku ini sangat tak sesuai pakai legging sahaja
2. kalau tak nak pakai boots tu, then maybe pantyhose and wear it with a 4" gladiator sandals yang aritu nampak kat Bintang (RM lagi)
3. clip-on earrings yang tak nampak macam clip-on earrings....takutla nak tindik telinga
4. bangles yang bling-bling
5. rantai / choker - just in case kalau ternampak yg lagi menarik than the ones I already have
6. bling-bling scarf - the one that I have now agak licin ....takut tertanggal pulak
7. sesuatu to make my tummy flatter - hik hik
8. a black turtle neck shirt
kalau ada sesiapa nak taja atau nak kasi pinjam, you are most welcome...
invitation card arrived today! very the girlish with pink ribbons and diamonds on a silver bling-bling card....hehehehe....excited nak jumpa budak-budak perempuan hingusan yang sekolah kat Jalan Kolam Ayer tu dulu....

Planning a Wedding
I have a knack for organizing things. Most of the times in the dictator directive kind of way. Unfortunately my organizational skills are selective on things that catch my interest only – which doesn’t have anything to do with my career but mainly on organizing events.
The way I think is also very simple. Sampai sekarang I don’t understand why there is a lot of pening-pening kepala pasal nak organize events, especially among my family members. I think they just like to be complicated.
I’m helping my sister plan her wedding. Sebenarnya, tak berniat pun nak melibatkan diri (yelah, majlis orang…mana boleh menyibuk lebih-lebih), tapi melihatkan ada potensi akan over budget and to relief my sis of pre-wedding pressure so that she can think of better things to think about, I decided to offer my wisdom la. So far, I think I managed to get the door gift, invitation cards and photographer sourced albeit doing it long distance from Miri. I’ve laid out some options but the couple still need to make their choice (sis, you can always opt for dad’s suggestion to use manila card though...hahaha pun intended). Saya juga telah membebel menyediakan khidmat nasihat secara percuma with regards of what else to prepare.
So, you people out there, kalau malas nak memeningkan kepala untuk buat apa-apa event ke….kepala saya ini bersedia untuk pening atau pecah untuk merancang event anda. Tentang charge pula, tak mahal….maybe dalam 3 – 5% of the total cost of your event. (hahahaha….biar betul aku ni, tapi reasonable tak charge itu?)… okla kan.
If you guys ada baca Mitch Albom’s “Five People You Meet in Heaven”…the 4th person that Ed met after he died is his late wife. Her heaven is one that is full of weddings everywhere, because she loves the festivities and the bond of love that they symbolize. I love that chapter, I think it should be an inspiration to all wedding/event planner wannabes. Oooohhhh…..tiba-tiba rasa macam si Jennifer Lopez from the movie “Wedding Planner” pulak. <3 <3 <3

it will be a good one
saya dah lama tak update blog (kira lama la tu sebab kalau tak hari-hari saya update)
pada hari yang saya update pun, saya update benda-benda yang saya cedok dari mana-mana...or just sharing some things that I like yang orang pun dah tahu...or just writing mundane entries
saya sedang mengambil sedikit masa untuk menyelami jiwa sendiri
saya sedang mencari kekuatan hati (chewahhhh)
my next blog entry, I hope it will be a good one

my most favourite poem ever...
wrote it out of memory...sorryla kalau ada yang tersalah
P/S: life would be easier if I can hate you :-(
10 Things I Hate About You
I hate the way you talk to me and the way you cut your hair
I hate the way you drive my car
I hate it when you stare
I hate your big dumb combat boots and the way you read my mind
I hate you so much it makes me sick
it even makes me rhyme
I hate it when you're always right
I hate it when you lie
I hate it when you make me laugh
even more when you make me cry
I hate it when you're not around
and the fact that you didn't call
but most of all...
I hate the way I don't hate you

Pos Rahsia
I had a meeting on Monday to review my work in progress with our stakeholder in KL (note to self: sila kontrol perasaan dan jangan buat muka walaupun orang tanya soalan yang tak relevan dan dengan cara yang kurang sopan). Got the chance to catch up with my housemates masa kat UM and my friend who just came back from UK for good. Planned to go shopping, but I guess hilang selera shopping sebab penat sangat... bought a few books (5) from Borders and Kinokuniya...
2 of them are these:
Post Secret is a community project founded by Frank Warren. It allows people to share their secret anonymously and creatively on a postcard. (for more info, korang google jelah)....it turns out to inspire others and help people emotionally....coz I think it makes people feel that they're not alone in this world, and provides an escape from secrets that are burdening them....so far ada 5 books, I only bought 2 sebab (a) berat nak bawak balik, (b) mahal.
Most of the secrets are just written in short words and with graphics. I chose the wordi-est one to share here.
For Better
1. He tries to make me happy.
2. He likes to keep the apartment clean.
3. He’s great in bed – we really have great sex together.
4. I love it when we cuddle.
5. He teases me in a fun way.
6. I like waking up next to him.
7. I enjoy feeling him inside me.
8. His happiness makes me happy.
9. He doesn’t like me to swear or yell at him.
10. He helps me avoid mistakes.
11. He says I turn him on.
12. I like to think of ways to make him happier.
13. My family likes him a lot and thinks he is a good person for me to be with.
14. He asked me if I want to get married.
For Worse
1. He frustrates me.
2. I do most of the cleaning while he relaxes.
3. He’s not interested in sex most of the time.
4. He develops various pains when we cuddle.
5. I can’t tease back.
6. He’s very grumpy when he wakes up.
7. He’d rather jack-off.
8. He is easily offended or angered.
9. He swears and yells at me.
10. He critiques almost everything I do.
11. Other people turn him on a lot more.
12. He doesn’t think of me most of the time.
13. I don’t tell them any of this because I don’t want them to think negatively of him.
14. I’m not sure if I do, but I said yes.
Do you have any secrets?

Hari raya ke-8, after almost 2 weeks of enjoying myself at home and beraya, time to go home to Miri and pretend those 2 weeks were a dream. Days of taking a nap whenever I feel like it are going to be traded off with napping accidentally in front of my workstation. I have to swap mom’s cooking with canteen / café food that sucks but have to eat it anyway coz nobody cares enough at home to prepare breakfast (I’m staying by myself, so yes, I don’t care enough about myself either).
There goes the days where I can spend as much time as I like to put on makeup (it was Hari Raya) and back to looking borderline ugly (not that I care, anyway…).And there goes the days of wearing pretty dresses and back to wearing drab work clothes. Karang kalau melaram lebih-lebih nanti orang tanya aku nak pegi mana…yelah, ini Miri bukan KL.
I think I might have started getting into my Miri ‘mode’ a bit early…there is this one particular blouse and a pair of pants that I really like to wear, especially when I go out running my errands on weekend, or just window shopping. The blouse is the flowy type, with an empire waist, which perfectly hide any bulging tummy, and it’s in my favorite dirty purple colour. Pants pulak jenis kain cotton yang stretchable tu….sounds super comfy kan, kan kan? Dua-dua pun I bought in Jusco Taman U masa pergi JB around X’mas last year…masa melepak dengan Puan S (masa tu Miss S lagi). First remarks that she made about the dress was, “never wear this blouse if you go dating or whatever….you can only wear it when you go out with close friends..” I still wear it though, sebab super comfy and tak payah gosok, but always very careful not to wear the blouse and the pants together….kalau pakai dengan jeans, it still looks stylish ok….
However, masa nak balik Miri tu, sebab malas giler nak balik, and we just came back from beraya, I main taram je pakai that combination haram tu….it’s raya and of course most of the baju are the kurungs la….my jeans pulak dah lipat siap-siap and at the bottom of the bag…so pakai jela….lawa jugak apa.
Until masa check-in tu…
I checked in my bag and gave the guy behind the counter my IC. Then he pointed at a piece of paper on the counter and asked me to confirm on that…it's something about the airline's regulations on liquids, sharp objects and pregnant ladies..
I just nodded my head coz I didn’t really get what he meant. It’s only after I walked away, board the airplane and safely on air did I realize…
He was asking me to confirm that I’m not pregnant.
DAMN. DAMN.
Patutla takde orang ngorat aku dalam plane. T_T
NOTE TO SELF:
1. Jangan pakai baju tu lagi. Ikut cakap Puan S.
2. Don’t get too comfy with comfy dresses/blouses/t-shirts/pants.
3. Round is NOT a shape. Lose it.

ada hati nak ada hobi baru
Let me tell you what has been in my mind for quite sometime....
Am contemplating to buy and learn how to play it during my free time, but right now, my RM tak sampai ke sana....
jeng jeng jeng.....

ACCORDION
yes...inilah yang saya nak....I've been playing trombone since form one and only 'retire' in 2006 (sempat lagi main dengan Miri Orchestra ok)....I miss the feeling of making music....so recently I decided to start main muzik balik.....was thinking to just get myself a trombone....tapi cam bosan la pulak asyik-asyik main benda yang sama...antara musical instruments that I'm contemplating are saxophone, drums and accordion. Tapi, accordion ni macam sangat menarik, kan, kan, kan?
What do you think?

warning!
don't mess with me when:
I'm hungry
My scarf is 'herot-berot' - which is equivalent to bad hair day
I'm super busy (if I'm just busy, busy I would have welcome the distraction)
I just had a review on my work and had a lot of action items (some irrelevant) to prove

dangerous living
2. Then, kena lalu the marshes area along Pantai Lutong, kadang-kadang kawasan ini boleh terbakar, berasap tebal dan anda tak nampak apa-apa semasa memandu melintasinya...
3. Sebab kitorang dah biasa hidup macam ni, buat kuih pun macam cerita McGyver.
Nampak tak screw driver kat situ? Speaking of McGyver, malam ni nak tengok Royal Pains!!
****drrooollll*****
bercintalah berkali-kali
A friend read the article in a magazine and quoted this:
"Untuk bercinta lagi, luahkan kata-kata yang baik untuk mencairkan prasangka, meleburkan curiga dan memadamkan dendam."
Saja je nak mengezass aku.
Tak terasa pun.

post-run
My body is aching. Sakit gilerr. Have to stay off high heels for a while.
Berjalan pun kengkang macam orang lepas beranak (ye ke?)
I'm not the only one though.
A friend gave this advice,
"Pain is weakness leaving the body"
Hmmmm....which must have meant, I was weak to begin with. Really unfit and weak.
Couch potato. Meatbag... tummy-tums
Feels like running again though. Can't wait to plan for the next event (which has to be next year, sad to say....have plans for the rest of the year already).
Wait until I recover.
P/S: Just for the record, I aimed to finish in 100 mins. Did it in 1 hr 41 mins though (101 mins). Consoled myself with the fact that my timing matched my running number (1414).

nota "ba wau nun wau ha" diri
this is what I planned to write until I thought better not to write about negative things...
takut jugak kalau come true
just for the record my sequence number masa naik flight tadi is #13
can u believe it? there's no row 13 in airplane seats, or check-in counters, but there is a 13 in the sequencing number.
takpela 13 tu nombor bertuah bagi aku
till then, people

UNGRATEFUL IDIOTIC DIVA
I broke a record yesterday.
I cried on my birthday.
You see, my ideal way of having a birthday celeb is for me to have a little time to reflect on how my year went (which I didn’t have the opportunity to with the current workload) and eat whatever I feel like eating and having drinks with friends and/or family. So far, my past birthday cravings include kek pisang, jantung pisang masak lemak, ikan sardin bakar, nasi lalapan, prawn dhal, etc.
I only have parties if I asked or plan for it myself. My parents organized this birthday party when I was 8. My brother and sister are still jealous about it until now, but I did not enjoy it that much because my parents were busy entertaining the guests. I was upset about it, and later on my mom asked me to help with the cleaning up and got told off because I didn’t want to. Nobody is supposed to do the clean up on their birthdays, right?
So there I was, nicely dressed for a dinner out and a friend picked me up from my place. We shared the same birthday so, we were planning to have a birthday dinner then other friends will join us after that to continue the “celebration”. Purr-fect.
On the way, one friend called and asked us to turn back. I felt something fishy already when I saw TC’s car passed by my house just after we left. He told me he’s looking for a colleague’s house. Anyway, since the driver is so baik hati to turn around, I said, “it’s better be good”, but still had my heart set on what I wanted to eat for dinner (I am superstitious when it comes to food, cravings and bad luck).
Just as I half expected, there were a lot of cars in front of my house. There were about 10 people and they were carrying food with silly smiles on their faces. And how did I react? By remaining firmly seated on the car seat with my seatbelt on. I told them I wanted to eat pizza. They said they’ve made some food and want to have the party in my house, to which I profoundly refused. I haven’t dusted my house since before Raya (thanks to all the post raya and weekend outings). I have 2 weeks’ worth of laundry which I just washed and currently hanging around my house, and I’ve more or less set up camp in front of my 42”, so I have my makeup kit, toner, lotions, blanket, scarves, sweaters, cushions and empty cups strewn around my living room. And yeah, I don’t do your-own-birthday-party-cleaning up. So, I asked them to have it in Miss E’s house instead.
I saw some disappointed looks on my friends’ faces. And at least 2 of them called me a ‘diva’. Honestly, I don’t handle surprises that well. When a guy I had a huge crush on asked me to be his girlfriend, I walked away from him and we didn’t speak until 2 days later. We were an item for the next 3.5 years (oops, that’s a different story). On the way to Miss E’s house, I was thinking about my reactions and the looks on my friends’ faces, and felt really bad. I was behaving like such an ungrateful idiotic diva.
Ungrateful idiotic diva. Ungrateful idiotic diva.
I didn’t enjoy much of the evening though I really like my birthday cake. I was thinking about how my friends must have viewed me because of this. And I was thinking about my superstitions, about not having what I wanted to eat and how I will have bad luck for the rest of the year until the curse is broken on my 28th birthday. I also thought that at my age, my mom already have 3 kids (even though I’ve had more fun than her). Then, I called my mom, and I cried. I also cried hard after I put down the phone. There I was, crying alone outside the house when all the other people were busily chattering and laughing or maybe talking about how ungrateful I was or maybe they just forgot why they were there at the first place.
Just when I’ve recollected my composure and went inside to ask them out for drinks, everybody was beginning to leave. Okla, I left also but then asked TC to go out for drinks. I’ve promised another friend who shared the same birthday as mine to meet him up, and TC owed me a deal to hang out with my metrosexual friends, so he followed suit. How I wish my other friends were there too. We left before 11pm sebab TC belum mandi.
I still woke up today feeling bad about being a diva though. The story will pass through generations, and I will remember it as the day I cried.
At least half of the bad feeling is gone after I put it in writing.
People might think I have weird antics.
I have a better word for it.
Idiosyncrasies.

27
It's my birthday today and I wanted to keep it quiet. At least, from my cubicle mates (loud Aussies, they are).
Too bad, it only lasted for 10 minutes when my brother's girlfriend appeared out of nowhere and singing Happy Birthday on her way to my desk. I stopped her on the first line, but alas, the damage is done. It's official. I'm 27. Thanks for the wishes on facebook and my mobile.
They told me to go and have a good celebration today. Instead, I'm still in the office, having a lot to think of, still not finish evaluating oil/condensate/gas/shit and already brain dead. Daym. Not wanting to let the day pass without dropping a short note here though.
Most people asked me what is my birthday resolution? Whatt???!!! Now we have resolutions made on birthdays? I don't even have one for new year. Well, I did give a thought about it. My resolution is to STAY YOUNG, LOOK YOUNG
Why?
Mostly because I'm still single.
65% of guys my age are taken and 5% of them are weirdos. The rest of the 30% are not in my social circle(s).
85% of men aged 30-38 are taken also. The other 15% are divorcees or confused (in whatever ways you can think of).
Older than that? Ughhh. I still have taste ok.
Which leaves out the younger group of guys. The new generations. The "in"-trend.
Geddit?
It's a good thing actually. At least, I will take care of myself by eating healthily, regular exercise and keeping my stress level as low as possible.
:)

you ask me on relationship advice?
my friend asked me this question during breakfast...
If your boyfriend/lover/husband cheated on you, would you consider giving them another chance or just walk out of the relationship? If you forgive that person and give him another chance, he might take you for granted, but if you walk out, what if he really, really is sorry for cheating on you?
To which I answered, I would give sometime for me to cool down and make rational rather than emotional judgment. It might take a short or long time, but at least it's not based on emotions. After I'm quite sure I'm in the rational state of mind, I will just follow whatever directions inspired within me and leave the others in God's mercy.
P/S: I have to make some decision right now, and still don't have an idea what I should do about it. Need time and space to think.

tongue in cheek (18sx)
a series of unfortunate events
crash landed on my butt sebab tergelincir kat Niah National Park semalam....not as bad as the crash I had in Korea when a novice skier ran into me....but still sakit...sampai kepala rasa the jerk masa jatuh tu....hopefully everything is ok...
mintak CIMB buat standing instruction for my insurance payment....but then my agent cakap nothing has been paid so far...daym...dahla my bank cawangan Kuching, and I can't believe zaman sains dan teknologi ni I still have to write a formal letter of complaint and FAX it to them..nasib baik tak suruh snail mailkan surat tu
ok, what's next?

luahan hati seorang katak puru
Salah ke kalau aku membatukan hati aku?
Salah ke kalau aku rasa bercinta ni pointless?
Salah ke kalau aku enjoy my life to the max while still in this hiatus mode?
Janganlah lecture-lecture aku.
Aku tau apa yang aku nak.
Aku takkan kahwin for the sake of kahwin.
But at the same time, aku tak nakla bercinta.
Penat. Macam sekarang ok. Kenal-kenal without commitment.
Memetik kata-kata kawanku seorang duda,
“Aku mengambil jalan yang orang lain tak berani ambil. Aku memilih penceraian dari hidup tanpa sefahaman. Agak radikal berbanding teman-temanku yang memilih untuk terus hidup dalam ikatan yang sudah tidak membahgiakan, kerana mereka takut akan kesunyian.”
Tolonglah percaya bila aku cakap aku gembira macam ni.
Kita ni manusia, under the guiding hands of God.
InsyaAllah, when everything is right, automatic hati akan terbuka.
Aku punya gut instinct cakap aku patut rileks aja.
It’s nice to have yourself at the top of your priority.
Lagipun, aku happy.
Dengan family dan kawan-kawan yang aku suka.
Tak caya?
Tengok gambar-gambar aku di facebook.
Sikit punya lebar aku senyum.
P/S: nak share a bit lagu jiwang yang saya suka:
Dari Hati Ke hati
Tinggilah tinggi
Tinggi tinggi burung di awan
Akhirnya engkau turun
Akhirnya turun mencari kawan
Terbang di awan
Turun mari ke dalam taman
Kalau mencari kawan
Mencari kawan biarlah padan
Bukan sahaja
Bukan saja kita kemari
Kita bercinta
Curahkan rahsia hati ke hati
Burung tempua
Sana sini mencari sarang
Kalau hati dah suka
Samalah kita terbang pulang
Salah ke kalau aku rasa bercinta ni pointless?
Salah ke kalau aku enjoy my life to the max while still in this hiatus mode?

Tengok gambar-gambar aku di facebook.
Sikit punya lebar aku senyum.
P/S: nak share a bit lagu jiwang yang saya suka:
Dari Hati Ke hati
Tinggilah tinggi
Tinggi tinggi burung di awan
Akhirnya engkau turun
Akhirnya turun mencari kawan
Terbang di awan
Turun mari ke dalam taman
Kalau mencari kawan
Mencari kawan biarlah padan
Bukan sahaja
Bukan saja kita kemari
Kita bercinta
Curahkan rahsia hati ke hati
Burung tempua
Sana sini mencari sarang
Kalau hati dah suka
Samalah kita terbang pulang

"+"ve lah....
Meminjam kata-kata Si Zahiril Adzim;
"Tidak ada kehidupan yang ku angankan,
cuma kental meredah kehidupan yang ada
sambil menggalas cita-cita
Walau macam mana celakanya kehidupan itu,
ia tetap kehidupan"
That's the attitude that I'm going to hold, come what may. I always have a backup plan for the worst case scenario (though in reality, we never know how it will turn out). But at least I'll know where and how to start picking up the pieces of my life.
I am not in a serious relationship at the moment and the company is going through transition.
I stood up to my dad when he kept pestering me about being selective and the fact that my sister got engaged. Told him to stop doing that coz' it's messing up with my positive bubble.
This applies to every other aspects in my life as well.
Period.

Kisah Ikan Terubuk & Telurnya
My family’s favourite fish is ikan terubok. It’s the most famous fish in Sarawak, especially Kuching. Sedappppp.
Ikan terubok ni ada 2 gred (as far as I know), one is the local one and another is the Siam mali one. However, don’t ask me if terubuk lives in the river or sea, coz I don’t have any idea.
Lepas tu, belajar makan sendiri…masih saya ingat lagi berapa kali saya tercekik tulang ikan sebab gelojoh. Terpaksa jadi budak yang tak banyak cakap selama beberapa jam (adik-adik saya pun sama). Huhu…tapi sekarang dah ayu gitu.
Then, bawak balik rumah dan masak stim. Bila time nak makan tu, nobody will start until after everyone is seated around the table.
Kalau sorang makan sedap, semua pun akan merasa and vice versa. Kepada bakal-bakal calon menantu bapak saya, kalau datang rumah dan mak saya masak ikan terubuk stim tu, tau-taulah ye…jangan terus ambik telur ikan tu dan letak dalam pinggan awak. Orang lain pun nak merasa jugak.
Kepada adik-adik saya, should any of us lupa diri di masa depan, ingat-ingatlah the simple memory of us sitting around the dinner table, enjoying tiny portions of telur terubuk, and sharing the going-ons of our lives.
P/S: Ternangisla pulak….daym, I’m old..

Spot on...tepat sekali!
"I'm going to smile like nothing's wrong, talk like everything's perfect, act like it's all a dream, and pretend it's not hurting me."
-->You have a lot of things in your life that constantly bring you down, but you always try to smile and cover it up like nothing is wrong. You just want to live your life and not let your problems bring you down, as bad as you want to show it, you keep it to yourself
Was checking out the "Which Quote is the Quote for You?" on Facebook coz my friend, Miss F is doing the same quiz. Taken aback by the result. Termangu sekejap diriku ini. 88% mengena kat batang hidung.

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
Youll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

dating bawah pokok
It's a common knowledge in my family of how my dad met my mum. They both studied in the same college and after a while, my dad approached her and said, "Oi, orang Limbang, jom dating bawah pokok."
Memang tak romantik, kan. I was watching Seniman Bujang Lapok yesterday and there's a scene where P Ramlee ran across Saloma just when he's about to leave for job hunting..
"Cik Salmah, malam ni free tak? Kalau free, jom jumpa kat bawah pokok."
-_-
Kalaulah lelaki zaman sekarang can just be this direct. All this beating around the bush is not my cup of tea. It's such a turn off. My time is so precious I don't want to waste it to figure this kind of thing out.

Raya ke-2, my dad's staff lost his 20 something year old brother, he learnt about that an hour after leaving our house. The brother died in the hospital after 3 weeks of being detained. Dia tergelincir kat bilik air, then semi-paralyzed...few days back he started to walk a little, but who knows it's just a facade of letting people to be happy before he left the world.
Raya ke-3, my dad learnt about the demise of one of his friends. Innalillah.
So, after mandi, please take a minute or two to wash off sisa-sisa sabun yang licin dari lantai bilik mandi, untuk keselamatan anda dan keluarga.
Al-Fatihah.

Jejak Kasut - Keluarga 69
The men in my family (on my paternal side) have a certain special way with women. They're not that good-looking, kacak bergaya or kaya. They simply have that X-factor that charm them. Which is why 4 out of 6 of them got married more than once.. hehehe
Anyway, Uncle X is the champion la...I think he got married 5 times. His 5th wife is a very nice hardworking lady and I like her so much. Tadi, his ex-wife (the 2nd one) datang beraya ke rumah, dibawa oleh anak lelakinya...who found out about my mum coz his kids went to the school where mum is the vice principal. I never met this aunt of mine, they were already divorced by the time I was born, but mum knows her. It's even weirder to have a cousin that I didn't know about, growing up. My cousin is already 32 and have 4 kids. Think of all the births and the wedding that I didn't attend and bagi hadiah. And, I've carried all my cousins' children in my arms when they were small, think of the memories and the bond that should have been there since years ago.
Lama jugak diorang bertandang tadi. Lots of stories were exchanged. Me and my curious mind can't resist to ask questions (which I did in the most sensitive manner possible). Sekali sekala, kelihatan Mak Ngah Ani merenung jauh...I'll never know what she had gone through in the past 32 years...but my dramatic side is imagining a lot of things. She remarried in 2007, dengan seorang duda yang kehilangan isteri and have 4 grown up kids. His husband happens to be a close friend of my dad's brothers. Masa muda-muda dulu selalu tidur kat rumah atuk kitorang.
If Mak Ngah Ani's family came an hour earlier, she would have met with Uncle X's 5th wife (of 25 years). Uncle X tak ikut coz he's not well now. The stroke got him. If they came an hour later, they would have met Mak Uda's family, the only female in my dad's siblings. I was telling Mak Uda about Mak Ngah and her new husband. Was telling her that he used to hang out at their place dolu-dolu and she probably knows the guy.
She asked me what's his name. I told her.
Mak Uda terdiam sekejap dan menyimpul senyuman misterinya.
"Hehehehe...boyfriend Mak Uda dolok marek ya.." (dengan harapan Pak Uda tak dengar)
Dengan tak kontrol suara aku berkata, "Oh, bagus juakla kitak sik bertemu, kelak kenangan silam terbayang di mata kelak."
My mouth got rubbed. Nasib baik takde cili.
P/S: Ordered kuah kacang from Mak Uda for kenduri on Saturday. TC might also be coming and drink the peanut sauce like syrup.
